ADVISORY: PHOTO OP: HIKE FOR HEALTH CARE TO HIGHLIGHT RISING COST OF HEALTH CARE IN FLORIDA
SARASOTA — Floridians are highlighting the hike in health care costs with a Hike for Health Care in Bradenton on Sunday. The cost of health insurance in Florida is rising faster than the national average, due to the sabotage of Congressional Republicans like Vern Buchanan and the Trump administration. The Hike for Health Care is a way to underscore the impact of rising health care costs on working Floridians.
PHOTO OP: About 20 hikers, chanting and wearing Hike for Health Care t-shirts, will march from Vern Buchanan’s Bradenton office to the Bradenton Riverwalk and end at Manatee Memorial Hospital.
NOTE: Spokespeople will be available on-site to discuss the hike and share their health care stories. If no crew is available Sunday morning we can provide spokespeople on Saturday.
