REPORTERS AND EDITORS —
I wanted to make you aware of a few activities this weekend in which Floridians For a Fair Shake is participating.
On Saturday, April 14, we are helping to organize and will be speaking at the Tax March rally in West Palm Beach. Attached is a copy of the full page ad that ran in this morning’s Palm Beach Post about our message and the event. The rally starts at Noon at the corner of S. Flagler Drive and Southern Blvd. (PS: Look for the giant inflatable Donald Trump Chicken!)
On Sunday, April 15 (Tax Day) we will meet and greet constituents at Treasure Coast Pridefest in Fort Pierce. Several of our advisory committee members will be on site to talk about our project. Pridefest is being held at River Walk Center, 600 N. Indian River Drive, from noon until 6pm.
Floridians For a Fair Shake is a multi-pronged campaign working in Florida’s 18th Congressional District to educate and inform constituents about Congressman Brian Mast’s votes on health care and taxes. Florida ranks 48th in health care coverage, and yet Mast’s votes would have cost nearly 75,000 of his own constituents their health coverage. In addition, Mast supported the administration’s deficit-exploding #TrumpTax bill that benefits the wealthiest one percent, not the constituents in CD-18.
